It’s been a while since we last wrote with an update and today seems like the prefect day.  Last year the United Nation’s General Assembly officially declared March 21 as world Down Syndrome Day.  There are celebrations around the world and it’s an important reminder to world, national, and local leaders to advocate for the rights and needs of individuals with Down syndrome and other disabilities.  In honor of this celebration, we’re launching a major sale of the MONICA & DAVID Educational Edition DVD. The Educational Edition includes the feature film as seen on HBO, 5 deleted scenes & 5 exclusive bonus videos which tackle the major issues introduced in the film–independence, employment, sexuality, letting go, and reflections on society.  Great for corporations, libraries, schools, non-profits, community organizations, and anyone who wants to share the DVD with groups of individuals.  Remember that the home video DVD is only licensed for personal home use.

Personal update on Monica & David:

Monica and David Just celebrated their 7th wedding anniversary and are doing amazingly well.  They recently started new volunteer jobs at a local hospital, working with kids in the daycare center.  David’s healthy and continues to monitor his diabetes well.  He recently threw the opening pitch at a pre-season Florida Marlins baseball game!!  Turns out that the Marlins’ new manager, Ozzie Guillen, is a huge fan of the film and has quickly become friends with Monica, David and their family.
